‘I like my money where I can see it – hanging in my closet.’ Carrie Bradshaw. We have all heard this quote, and it is 100% accurate for fashionistas.
On day 6 of New York Fashion Week I dressed up in one of my favorite fashion week looks. The outfit was planned for Valentine’s Day and I sure felt like a fashionista cupid, if that even exists.
The thing is, when you live in New York City, it is just another walk in the park. But when you visit the City, a girl just wants to dress up like Carrie Bradshaw and walk around looking like she is a million bucks. That also comes with confidence ladies. So wear both of them proudly.
Currently, I am sitting in my living room, one month after my trip to New York Fashion Week and I barely now got to editing these photos. When I look at this photoshoot photo, I see an impeccable outfit for an editorial, but in all honestly, this look would only be worn for my blog.
With that said, I am going through a closet crisis! I am so used to dressing up with bold colors, statement pieces, and or something flashy but if you walk around Los Angeles dressed in that manner; well, that just doesn’t happen.
So… Where do I begin? I donated half of my closet and shoes to Salvation Army and I gave up looking like Carrie Bradshaw so I could buy realistic pieces and begin blogging my everyday looks- something I was not doing in the past. In the past I would shoot looks that were dressy and Sex in the City-like. So I guess I am left with an empty closet and a credit card to go shopping with for a new wardrobe. Something fun and exciting!
So cheers to new beginnings for a fashionista!
