The American Music Awards was everything I expected it to be. Since I was a young teenager, I remember my sisters and I would gather in our living room while my parents were not around and secretly watch the AMA’s. We could not watch it at a young age because my parents thought it was unfit for teenagers to watch adults dance and sing so promiscuously.
Nevertheless, to be there and experience such talented artist perform and win awards is such a privilege that I am thankful for. There’s nothing like giving back and that is what the AMA’s did when they expanded their press for the first time in history to Bloggers and Youtubers.
When I got out of the car and walked towards the entrance, my heart began to pound so quickly because I was nervous. I am an outgoing person, but when it comes to being asked questions like, “what are you wearing tonight” or, “where did you get your hair and makeup done” could either go right or wrong; be loved or judged. When I think about it, I am not a celebrity, nor do I want to be, but the process of being watched by so many people is nerve recking.
If you followed me on Snapchat you saw everything. From the first award (awarded to The Weekend), to the amazing dresses that Jennifer Lopez wore each segment of the three hour show. Oh my goodness she looks not a day older than thirty!
These are my favorite 7 best dressed celebrities:
Jennifer Lopez (J.Lo) looking amazing in a cut-out gown
The gorgeous Carrie Underwood in a glamorous Elie Madi gown sequins dress
Ciara in Reem Acra nude and black sequin gown
Julienne Hough wearing Naaem Khan in a colorful double-slit gown
Zendaya looking so girly and chic in pink
Hannah Davis looking bold in a silver mesh turtleneck gown by Naeem Khan gown
Paula Abdull looking fabulous and young in this sheer nude and black embellished gown
